I’ve always had a soft spot for photography. I borrowed my mother’s camera in high school and eventually bought my own. These days, I mostly use my phone (it’s amazing how good those have gotten), but I still pull out my years old DSLR from time to time.
Mostly, I have pictures organized by photosets, but I’ve started adding a few ‘meta sets’ like Mini Worlds, Bugs etc (macros), and Fungus Among Us.
A set of myself and Aurora. There aren’t so terribly others many that actually have my face, so it works out. :)
In the space of 15 minutes we went from perfectly blue to torrential downpour with hail enough to cover the yard then back to perfectly clear. Kind of crazy, all things considered. But there’s Indiana for you.

New Year’s Eve Eve at my parent’s house. Since we were heading back up for New Year’s we had a few sparklers and fireworks early. ’twas a perfect opportunity to break out my DSLR for the first time in far too long.
This will be a random set of pictures that don’t really go anywhere else. Most will be taken while I’m wandering about (as I tend to do :)
I’ve had this on my list of photosynths to take for quite a while now, so I figured we might as well wait after mass and take it. It’s really quite a nice looking piece of architecture. Also quite different from all of the very traditional cross-shaped churches I grew up with.
