This Inevitable Ruin Dungeon Crawler Carl #7

Oh man. Faction Wars.

We’ve spent several books referring to this or actually planning it… and now, we’re finally here! The one where powers in the universe come to the Dungeon planet and lead armies of their own as a larger than life sort of war game.

Except this time, it’s no game. This time, they can die just as easily as the crawlers can.

This time, it’s war.

Oh, and this time the crawlers have an army all their own–with some unexpected allies.

And the NPCs aren’t just NPCs any more.

Things are going to get messy.

Overall, it’s another solid entryinto the series. It’s not quite as ridiculous a setup as previous floors were–like the Iron Tangle or the floating bubbles with gods run amuck–but it’s still a crazy setup.

And now… I have to wait for the next one?! How dare it not already be out.

Onward!

Side note: One of the gods in the books is the beetle faced god Khepri. But what I actually thought of when I read it was the beetle-headed khepri race from Perdido Street Station. Thought that was a cool reference! And now I see the reference they are both in turn likely based on.
