I’ll admit, I didn’t care for the addition of the card game, which is a huge part of this book. It was a bit too much ‘game’ for me, even knowing it’s a LitRPG book. All the rest of the ‘game within the real world’ I actually enjoy, but this felt a step too weird. Dinniman did integrate it and use it well I think, but still, I hope this isn’t something that sticks around.
